why do I bother?

Monstro just came home. (I'm posting these posts in reverse chronological order so they read in proper format on the blog). I'd told him about Letter from a Nobody but he was surprised to hear that not only have I received two emails from my “reply to all,” but that I responded to both of them and blogged about it twice.

“Why do you bother?” he asked.

“Because I'm tired of people telling me I don't know shit about shit.”

Especially when they back up their arguments with information disproven by a nanosecond's search of Snopes.com. I mean really, people, please! And while I'm at it, Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer; NOT a journalist. He'll tell you that himself.

  1. Amen, sister. If people don't sometimes get called out when they spout nonsense, then they persist in spouting. And I agree with you on Obama and McCain. I'm not Republican but I am a Christian and I am (as I have been for quite a long time) extremely PO'd at people making the assumption that I am blindly “pro-life”–a horrible way to describe the situation—and anti- a bunch of other things based on my beliefs. Which as you know are more anti-poverty and pro-spreading Christian Love and Acceptance than anti-specific groups of people. I have a lot of respect for McCain as a person but he lost me as a politician during the primaries and his swerve to the conservative parts of his party. Anyway, congrats again on the baby and I am glad you are back blogging, I was worried! Take Care Katherine
