During Babykins' recent well-baby appointment, the pediatrician asked me, “You don't use a walker, do you?”, and at first all I could think was “Huh? Do I look like I need assistance in the form of durable medical supplies?”, but actually, he was just making sure we didn't have any unsafe baby stuff around the house.
Oh, and what does it say about me as a do-it-all working-stiff mom that his six-month well-baby appointment was on his seven-month birthday?
when did walkers become unsafe? Or am I thinking of the wrong thing—it looks like Babykins is in a walker in the latest picture? BTW — he is going to HATE that nickname in highschool 😉 Katherine
Babykins (which isn't a true nickname but just something to call him besides his real name) is in an exersaucer, which doesn't let him move around the floor. The walkers are unsafe I think mostly because 1) they're top-heavy and can tip and 2) kids can fall down the stairs.
