It was the crypt of the past Ascension Queen, from whom we were hoping to learn the answers to the dark mystery of Hazimeer's death, but it was the crypt of the WRONG past Ascension Queen. Mayhem ensued.

The beginning of the battle where surprisingly to all, none of us got kilt. Here, Smaug faces off against an armored were-dog-rat thing and a couple of rat swarms. The valiant half-orc ranger succeeded with stunning aplomb. Isdra — the deva bard I play — nearly died, but overcame. Soltan continued his “cursed paladin” arc by rolling poorly all night. And Thorin the barbarian went all rage-y and dealt massive damage to the evening's überbad. Another lovely evening of D&D with my friends!

We killed the hag and looted the loot room, so this is a charge, not a retreat.
