  1. Veronica was sooooo good the first season, pretty decent last season, but the third hasn't been too good. They're doing better here near the end, but it's been kinda painful.
They demoted wise-cracking Logan to a sad sack that nobody wants to be around, Weevil to nothing more than a Mexican janitor, and where in the world did Wallace and Mac go for the first half the season. (Not to mention the show is only three seasons in and already repeating previous plotlines???)
I can't say I'm surprised that it's cancelled. I'm sad that they didn't do more with it and keep it going strong because I really liked the show. But I'm not surprised it's been cancelled.

  2. Yeah, I'm with Julie. The third season has been a letdown. I actually wondered after the first season how they were going to come back for a second. They did a good job, but not as great as the first. Then going off to college just back all the horrible spirals of Buffy and going off to college. I'm sad to see VM go because it is something different on TV, but it's just not that great anymore.

  3. Welcome Doug (!), Hey Julie, I agree that this year hasn't been super, but up against such fare as the police-procedurals that numb us to death, and the wife-swapping-big-brother-Pussycat-Doll reality shows, VM offered viewers an interesting story with multi-dimensional characters. I was intrigued by the idea of fast-forwarding Veronica four years when she's an FBI rookie, and think it would have offered something other than blood splatter.

  4. Hola!
You know what, you're right. Veronica's first year (or first year on the streets) with the FBI would be more interesting. At least theoretically.
    Like “Bones”, but actually good.
I think VM got stuck b/c they had the one event that defined the whole first season. Then they felt the need to recreate it. Then it became X-Files “big arc” vs. “monster of the week” terrirtory and never found its way again. Too bad, because it was great TV for awhile.
